Got old dog tags?

I just dug a dog tag today but it is from Verulam township Ontario Canada but is still a great looking tag, in the same place the owners of the same property found one a wile ago digging there garden a Harvey township Ontario 1936 tag shaped like a bell.

Here are a couple I've found through the years. I've seen Cripple Creek tags older than 1914,but thought I'd share anyway. The Woodland Park one is from Colorado as well,found in my old driveway,it is the oldest one I've seen from here. Also want to mention one I found in Victor but dont own anymore,it was from Lawrence Colo 1897,and looked exactly like the first one in curbdiggercarls post. It is the oldest and only one I've seen from Lawrence. HH

Hello Neil, I googled dog tax tags and found this thread...I hope it's still a relevant or active thread...While dirt fishing in my backyard yesterday next to an old Maple tree, I found this very cool looking dog tax tag circa. 1920. I believe that it's made of copper? Not knowing much about these, I still felt that it was a rather rare find. Any help will be appreciated...

2nd is # 124 1903 Park Ridge IL

Both found on the same property of an old homestead that is all woods now.
