    Brass token (Maverick) dug today in Ft. Calhoun NE. just wondering if somebody might have one like it or knew where its from.

    This one has been attributed to Chicago, IL, but I don't know the reference used for sure. Alpert & Smith's Amusement Tokens, perhaps. It is pretty common - was used as payoff for a type of slot machine that took nickels and paid off with tokens, generally to circumvent gambling laws.
