Wanted-Almont "Martin Egnash" trade tokens.
Hi all, Trying to help out a co-worker that just found out these existed.
His grandfather was Martin Egnash and his son in the Marines is named after him, he's desperate to find some or these coins if anyone has any.
Thanks, Steve

Welcome to Treasure Net !!
Is the 'Almont' you are referring to the town, Almont, in Michigan?
What type of business did Martin have in Almont?
Don.

Thanks, Yes it was Almont, Michigan.

You might try asking the Librarian at the Almont District Library.
You can reach that person online via the form at this address:
http://www.adlmi.org/web-forms/ref-question
If they don't know, ask for the name, etc. of the county historian.
Meanwhile, "206 in Idaho" may see this posting and give you the answer.

Martin Egnash is listed as a restaurant in Almont, Michigan in the 1946 & 1949 Dun & Bradstreet. He doesn't appear in the 1941 or 1952 editions.

You guys know a lot more about this stuff than I do, I'm forum savvy but know nothing about this kind of thing.
I just asked him and I guess it was a pub so being listed as a restaurant would make sense.

See if your buddy knows where this place was at. I live in that area. I'd be willing to search for them if your knew the address of where this place was...Perhaps I could attain permission to hunt the area.

The biggest bet to find one in the ground is going to be to search the area where the pub was or the yard of the home of where Martin Egnash lived.

That's a very generous offer, I'll pass it along.
I did ask him and apparently it was a farm so it may or may not be occupied at this point, he actually put a want ad in the local paper and while the ad didn't get any hits it did trigger the paper to contact him and they're doing a small story that will be in the paper soon so that may produce something as well.
