The only thing ive found out about the place is that it was in business from the 1920's to the 1940's

I'd say it was worth the 5000 bites, very cool find!

Thanks carl. I really enjoyed finding something that can be traced back to a specific place somewhat local.

That's a pretty cool find! First time I've ever seen a keychain tag from a cigar store. Johnson's WI Token book shows that there was a 10¢ trade token used by the Tagatz Billiard Parlor. Most likely the same business. Johnson dates the token to 1934, the 1930 Census shows him as proprietor of a billiard parlor on Main street.

Thanks idaho thats some good info you gave me there. Next time im in montello i think i will drop by the antique store there and see if they have some more to say about it. Think i may go back to the place i found this too. I just recently started and was as excited finding this as i was my first silver coin and thimble.

If you have any thoughts of returning it to the next of kin, perhaps this information may help.
His middle name was Gottlieb. He married Clara L Sobralske who died in 1986 in Sherman Oaks, California. I'll take a wild guess and suggest there are not many SOBRALSKE's in the local phone book; you may just get lucky.

That is exactly why I love to dig tokens, fobs, any advertising items.
