    25 cent N.A.S. C.P.O. CLUB TOKEN

Found a N.A.S. C.P.O. CLUB TOKEN in the sand, not sure how to clean it. Made of brass, and almost unreadable for all the buildup. Any ideas?

    What is the metal?
    Aluminum - aluminum jelly
Brass - Apple cider vinegar - try overnight first, then more if needed.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Yes, got it clean. 25 cent token from an air station in Washington. Closed in 1970. Pretty cool thing to find, especially in Guam.

If it's brass, what I find works well when used gently is a dremel tool with a small brass brush. Dont press too hard or the patina will come off and it will polish, but if used gently, it will clean up nicely.
