Found these while doing a little bushwacking out behind the house yesterday. Wondering if anyone might know anything more about them.
This one says "R.D.FLOOD. REMER.MINN. SOO" What I do know is: Remer, MN is a nearby town, and SOO used to be a railroad that ran North of here. Not really sure what it might have been for, theres no holes in it or anything to be hung on something, just a flat piece.
Also found this tag, thought it was a dog tag at first. Says "V&R.L.CO" on the top line and "4016" in bold with the single letter "B" on bottom.
After about an hour of searching Google, found this was from The Virginia & Rainy Lake Co, which shut down in 1920 as far as I could tell, they were one of the first and biggest logging companies in Northern MN. Kinda cool. Could not find out what the tags purpose was....
