Need help with ID on this token I'm stumped ?

Not a recent find , I have never found any info on this token so I thought I would ask here, has anybody seen or know anything about it. I found it in a Colorado mining camp it is a little larger token , about the size of a quarter. Thanks PPC

Seems like everyone has left the building, token watching-wise.
Roman? Caesar's Saloon?
Looks like he's standing on globe.
I've got one that has an imprint of what appears to be a duck, or a goose, and can't find anything about it either.
Still, a killer token!

I agree with Carl, that is a very cool old drink token! Don't maverick tokens want to make you pull your hair out though? So frustrating trying to attribute them.

I did search the TokenCatalog site, looking for another reverse which matched. There are none. I thought it might help place a time frame of issue...
As frustrating as this maverick may be to try and figure out, it's one of the cooler ones I've seen. Different and interesting.

Curbdigger, is your "duck" token made of aluminum or pewter? If so, it might be a Red Goose Shoes token. They used to give them out in different denominations when a customer bought a pair. I have two of them. They're basically play money. I don't know if that's what you have or not.

Thanks for the reply, doubtful that it's a red Goose.
Size of a nickel, copper, uni-faced.
Dug where we got 1880-1900 stuff, just never heard of a hotel token before.

either from another Country like Canada

or

(Half Cent era) I believe c1793 - 1857
of course most likely closer to the latter

There was a Roma Saloon in Telluride Co, in 1890.

There was a Saloon by the same name that cropped up in Ouray, Colorado in 1910.

I suspect one of these two is the source of your token.

Thanks for all the replies ! It was found in Cripple Creek Colo, I'm guessing late 1890s to early 1900s

You're right, Curbdigger.
It's not a Red Goose Shoes token. I've never seen one like this, but it's a dandy!

I would think the duck token had something to do with the Peabody Hotel in Memphis.
Look at the line going through the ducks neck and the 2 lines going down from that line. I would say the lines are a map. The line going through the ducks neck is Union ave us hwy 70 and the two lines going down are S 2nd st. & S 3rd st.
The duck thing started in 1933 & 1939 the ducks were trained to march . Quack Quack
