DS--that's going to be a tough one to positively attribute. The name is just too common to prove anything at this time, however further study that is ongoing may someday be able to identify the maker, and that may give further hints as to where it originated. It should date to ca. 1890-1905 based on the diework, and is typical of diemakers in the Illinois and Ohio regions. I do find a Thomas Giles who was a saloon-keeper in Toledo, OH ca. 1892-1901 and that is a possibility.
