Always thought it would be neat to find a bird band. Today I found two. A couple of hundred yards apart. IMAG0213.jpg Didn't take long to track the info. The left one the club dissolved in 1984 so no info. The right one I tracked the owner to Connecticut but he has severe dementia and waiting for reply from club member. Either way it's easy to say. The birds of prey like pigeons in these woods.

I have a few myself.Red one, silver one has D.C. on it and a blue one. Blue one says au 85 ri. 85 is year bird was born r.i. is rhoad island. One was a racing pigon i guess. Looks like these birds come and go quick around here. Don't have a long shelf life. We allready have 4 tags between us.They keep records for a long time on these years. Some tags are worth money. I never heard back from anyone. Guess he knows why his bird didn't come home. I would have liked to have know a little more about the bird.
