I have a token marked Bloomington IN on the holder, but it isn't listed and I can't find it in any of my directories. It's L & M Smokery / 415 W. Third St. // Good For / 5c / In Trade. Aluminum. Round. It is listed on tokencatalog as Unknown. I googled the street address and this did show up as Bloomington, and the person I got this from lives in Bloomington, if that helps any. Is anyone familiar with this one?

I'd contact the Monroe County History Center (
202 E. 6th St, Bloomington IN 47408
(812) 332-2517)
and ask them. If they don't know, I'd ask them for the name of the Bloomington or county historian. If you are then still drawing a blank, I'd contact their local library Reference Desk and ask for the name, number, etc. of the local historian.
HH,

It took some different tries at keyword searching but I did find a match I think. Located in Dayton, Ohio in the 1950 directory;

Name: M Smokery
Gender: Male
Residence Year: 1950
Street address: 415 W 3d
Residence Place:  Dayton, Ohio, USA
Occupation: Cigars
Spouse: George V Smith Smokery
Publication Title:  Dayton, Ohio, City Directory, 1950

Oh wow, that looks like a match. I appreciate it! I'll try posting a pic of the token later today when I get off work.
