Need help with this token... I can't find any where except for a token guide that says "RARE" it has a clover on the back. I looked in the county Bexar in San Antonio and nothing no pictures... It's pretty cool find I think...... Price, Era of token would be cool to know... 20170324_194642.jpg 20170324_194648_001.jpg

There's also a token & tag forum that I got a pretty quick response on a token I was seeking information about once. It is an interesting token you have and I've seen some rare tokens sell in the thousands on eBay, so you never know what you may have with old tokens?

1st - I noticed this is your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard! Take a look at Sub-Forums: Texas for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.

2nd - I moved this request from Help! over to Tokens & Tags for more exposure.

Very neat saloon token. It is always cooler to have saloon as part of the wording, instead of just good for five cents......

Just shows that a simple little thing like this token can speak volumes with a little research. It is not just a token, it's a piece of history. Nice job of digging up those artical Jeff:thumbsup:

Nice find! tokencatalog is the "go-to" place for tokens: go to TokenCatalog.com and put Scholz's saloon in the "all these words" box and hit enter. Don't use the "Exact Phrase" box unless you put the info in the standard format used by token collectors: A. SCHOLZ'S / GOOD FOR / 5 / CENTS / AT BAR / SALOON

That is a very cool token! If I had to guess, I'd say that each one was handmade. Sure looks like that, anyway.

I was about to post some newspaper archive articles but my post didn't go through. That's when I noticed that you already have a bunch of links to those. Congrats on a fine bit of Texas history!
