    Can anyone help date this tag it has makers mark
    J Robbins Boston
    Wilmington on one side
    Middletown on other

    John Robbins started making baggage checks between 1841 and 1843.
    Robbins was first located in Boston and in later years (1920?) moved operations to Attleboro, Massachusetts.
    This fact tightens your date range another three year.

    With only a three year production range,
    that could be a REAL nice find. My only banner was for
    a railroad tag that I knew nothing about.
    The good people here was where I learned about it.
