ICRR tag

trying to ID and date this metal disc, where I found it and the patina, I think it could be quite old, maybe CW era? Don't know if it could be a tool or baggage tag or what, any help would be appreciated, thanks much.

1st - I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard Grins! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country). It also helps members help members if they know your location of your find.

2nd - Maybe it is a Illinois Central Railroad baggage tag?
