Great find !
Your token packs a lot of history:
The Sacramento Valley Railroad was the first railroad in the West. The first SVRR train to run the 22 miles from Sacramento arrived in Folsom on Feb. 22, 1856. The railroad delivered passengers and freight to the stagecoaches and freight wagons that lined up at Folsom Station to serve the gold miners throughout the Mother Lode. When the Gold Rush subsided, the discovery of silver kept the railroad going, followed by agricultural and ranching enterprises. But the Sacramento Valley Railroad could not compete with the Central Pacific Railroad, when it connected with the Union Pacific in 1869, creating transcontinental service.
Folsom was planned and built as a railroad town. Capt. Joseph Folsom, then president of SVRR, hired Theodore Judah to survey and lay out the 90-block historical district in 1855. Judah went on to survey the route over the Sierra that was used by the Central Pacific.
