This token has been attributed to Denver but is more likely from either Merino or Grand Junction Colorado.

Spritch--do you know what the basis was for the obviously-wrong attribution to Denver? I say obviously-wrong because it is Colorado Boulevard in Denver. The piece is not listed in Pritchard's CO book or in the earlier Wright & Nott one.

The 1908 postal street guide gives the following towns as possibles:

Bridgeport, CT
Chicago, IL
Chickasha, OK
Denver, CO
Florence, AL
Grand Junction, CO
Indianapolis, IN
LaJunta, CO
Watertown, NY

I checked the 1912 Bradstreet, 1918 & 1928 Dun and the 1936 D&B and found no matches in any of these towns. Does anyone have any directory support for an attribution anywhere?

If you look in the back of my book on page 388 you will find the token as one believed to be from Colorado. I could not nail it down definately but in speaking with some of the big collectors, this seemed to be the general feel for this one. Still, if we couldn't locate an exact reference, I did not list it in that town's listings.
