"Dog" Gone that is an old tag!

Well I have to say this is the oldest dog tag I have found to date!!!
Found it at a street construction site. Was in pretty rough shape but I was able to get almost all the junk off of it.
What do you think it is worth??

This is the oldest one found from Fairbault, MN. yet. The others are 1892, '94 & '98. It should be worth $100.

I've posted Two tags from the 1880s on here.

I also had a bad experience with a tag collector who frequented this forum.  I wouldn't be in any hurry to sell it if I were you.  My tags were worth over $200 a piece.

PM me and I'll tell ya about it.

    Congratulations on a GREAT find!
