    Big Red from Predatortools

Thought I share this, George from Predatortools is coming out with a new shovel soon called the Big Red. Comes in two versions pointed, and flat edged. He has been flying out with a lot of new stuff lately including the Cobra, and Scorpion. Picture of Big Red is shown below of pointed version. George said it would be on sale soon. Looking forward to ordering one soon!

    Re: Big Red from Predatortools

I just received the 301 Big Red - I had gotten the 300 a month ago from George from a show. This is my tool review.

301 Straight Edge and 300 Diamond Point is largest tool Predatortools has currently. Put it this way it is like a nursery spade, but the blade itself is built like a Cobra or 322 but larger blade. So put it this way it is supersized relic shovel

I'd say it is a little heavier, but not heavy enough to be a burden on relic hunting trips. I been using mine for digging bottle pits 3-5 feet.

I recommend this shovel for deep relic sites, especially rooted areas. For shallow targets 1-8inches i'd use my 322LT or 80LT, but you can use the 300 and 301 both ways. Highly recommended.
