I got a new Garrett Pro-Pointer for my birthday to replace my old Whites Bullseye II. The probe came with a holder to go onto your belt, but I did not care for this as it was too close to your pants / shorts and the dirty pinpointer tip would rub off onto you. Took a short piece of 1" ID PVC and a splice connector, did a little cutting and put them together to make this holder for the probe.
Attached the holder to my digging pouch (leather nail apron) with some cable ties. Now I don't have to worry about the dirt / mud on the pinpoointer tip rubbing off onto my clothing.
The top portion of the holder also covers the switch so I don't accidentally turn the probe on while carrying it around in the pouch.

A friend liked this and asked me if I could make them one with a belt clip.
Used the same parts shown earlier but had to make some additions to make the back thicker for a flat arera to attach the clip and so it did not want to roll on the belt.
Bought a 1 1/4" and a 1 1/2" PVC pipe coupling. Sawed these in half length ways. Used a Dremel tool to remove the stop on the inside of the couplings. Glued these together. Rounded the corners, sanded a 1" wide flat on the back side of the piece.
Glued this to the existing tube assembly. Drilled two hole for the screws required to attach the clip. Here are some pictures of the finished product.
