A while back while I was shopping at Harbor Freight I came across an item called the Cen-Tech Metal Detector. It looked remarkably like the White's Bullseye and only cost $16.99. I thought that it might make a good back up for my Garrett Propointer.
Well, last week my Garrett malfunctioned. Luckily I had my backup available to save the day, and it worked like a champ. It is just like the Bullseye but lacks the vibration feature.
Re: Backup Pinpointer Saves The Day For Less Than $20
A lot of people have tried this pinpointer, myself included. For a short time I thought it was a pretty good deal but it was too touchy. I'd set the sensitivity and check a hole, dig a little, and then when I'd press the button again it would sound off continuously. Constant readjusting of the control. I sold it on ebay for more than I paid and then bought a Garrett Pro-Pointer (the best!).
