after watching several videos of lake/river hunts, I bought myself an AT-Pro. I then saw a video of the Anderson shallow water shaft for the AT-Pro.

The Price tag of $150 is a fair deal for what you get but I thought it would be something I could pull off. after a few tweaks I welded together my final product out of 1" aluminum tube, then slid a bike handlebar foam grip onto the handle. A quick coat of yellow Tremclad and it's nearly done. just need to find some foam for the armrest and a loop for the rear to keep it at arm's length when retrieving.

Thats pretty clever, HappyCanadian. Did you mig/tig weld that aluminum, or use the Alumiweld rods, which are the ones you use with a propane torch?
