Is anyone familiar with these custom leather rigs? I like the quality leather work. All the stuff online seems to be cheap Chinese made.

If there are any venders here on the forum that make these; I would be interested.

They look real nice.. maybe for a tv appearance.. sort of like dress blues..
But seriously, you will be taking it off you belt ever 4 targets with the sheath total clogged with dirt.. If you can gettem made with the bottom of the sheath open that would make much more sense..
Search this forum, I think someone here makes these and has been asking if people were interested.

I agree.. I wouldn't want one as ornate. However, I think a nice leather pouch similar to the one shown would work great. I don't need the leg strap rig. I'm using a cheap kellyco pouch now; it's ok.. But I need more storage for the really big gold!

I’ve used about all modern ones but right now: CTX 3030, White’s MXT Pro, XP Deus, Vaquero, White’s TRX
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
Both of those took a lot of tooling. The one with the straps took many hours to make. I bet if it sold it would go well over $100. Swingbot makes sheaths on here, but they are not fancy, just functional. Functional is all that is required anyway. He also rivets the stress points. I've had one almost two years now. Been on probably a 1,000 hunts with me.

In the near future I am going to make my own leather sheaths (I have leather experience) because I cannot find exactly what I need.

I agree; very nice tooling... To nice to stick a muddy trowel in. But, plain old cow hide would be fine.

I don't have a digger, but I do have the hide and the leather tools. Hmmm I may have to make me one.

Too pretty to get dirty! Classy rig, though.

I use an AWP from Lowes with two rare-earth magnets in the slit pouch to hold my Lesche or other digger - not really a sheath but secure. And easy to clean out.

Did put a little "bling" customization on for a buckle. ;-)

Cool... I was looking at some leather tool bags; man, those are a lot more expensive then I remember. Up in the 200.00 range. I like your set up, a lot more storage than my little tool pouch.

I think a belt and sheath that was like an old gunslingers holster would be cool

We recently started selling a very nice Minelab pouch if you'd like to check it out on our website. Part number is 237-99990076 just put it in the search bar.

Pretty decent in size actually about the same dimensions as the Garrett camo pouch but sticks out a bit more. I'll see if I can grab one and take a few photos next to a pen or a stapler or whatever for reference for you before 5:30 EST or so when I get off work. It holds all my stuff quite well.

I know someone who could probably put a leather pouch together for you equal to the original images. Won't be cheap (I'd guess $75 to $100 depending how fancy & not including the belt) but will be excellent workmanship.

Agree with you...would be awesome made with plain cut open grain leather.

I envy you! 1000 hunts in two years, that's 1.36 hunts every day! I do good to get in 1-2 hunts a month lol

This is one of Swingbot's. I ordered it off eBay a few weeks ago. 34 dollars, I think. And yes, the bottom is open to allow sand and dirt to fall out. Search ebay for "buzz bomb sheath".
