Was just wondering if anyone has made or bought a stand for their metal detector, not that I am lazy , but I find it gets annoying bending down to lay my detector on the ground to put two hands on the shovel over and over again etc, plus I have arthritis in my knees/ankles and other joints etc. Doctor says exercise is good for arthritis, but after a few hours with the pain getting worst, I am not so sure I believe him... :sadsmiley:

Have you considered a type of sling? You could simply let go and let it hang by your side. When ready, would always be within reach.

I use military suspenders and belt, tie a short bungee to the belt then connected to the detector shaft, or just tie a bungee to your pants belt
I use a similar rig for the trimmer

Makes it easy to dig two hands, or just take a drink.
FYI keeping active helps me from stiffening up!

Thanks guys, only really have about a month left here for metal detecting anyways, seeing winter in just around the corner, I will figure something out over the winter and hopefully a new machine before spring.

Attached a piece of pvc to the shaft after cutting heating and bending. A couple of zip ties hold it on. Very simple.
