I have some sites where it's hard to dig due to rocks and roots . I thought a more
Narrow digging tool than my Sampson shovel would help. Since I had an extra
Hand digger I got the idea to attach the handle from a broken snowshovel.
The result is what you see. It was easy to attach the D handle. After using it a
Couple of times it seems to work quite well because of the leverage of the
Extension handle which makes it 18" long. Effective in partly frozen ground too!

Hey if it works for you, that's all that matters. They say "Necessity is the mother of invention", but I blame it on too much idle time and a selection of parts laying around. :tongue3:

Great idea and result with the digger Miester. This may also work for you in keeping Thugs at bay. I hope you never need it for that, but if needed, you'll have a handle on it. (Pardon the pun.)
