Hey there fellow Floridian! I find this to be awesome. It has a removable handle so it can be used as a scoop and then, take the handle off and put on a pole, and the you have a long version. It is basically a 2 in 1. I find it to be the best bang for the buck!

That's what I have on my RTG now , Terry. It's ok but I'd like to try a bolt on grip that comes out straight from the handle , kinda like the grip on a straight shaft for a detector.

Sunspot, the maker of the Stealth scoops has them, several types. I have one that looks like a closed shovel handle and clamps anywhere along the handle. Stealth beach scoop
