Well I'm snowed in so got out my detecting backpack and cleaned all my tools and bag. I added a few more goodies to it. One is the snake bite kit. Hope I never need it but better safe than sorry. Got my first shovel made for detecting. And a life straw for when I'm up in the mountains where I hate packing to many drinks. Going to start doing more water hunting this summer. Any tips or accessories I may need to make it easier?

Here is a project you can do to get you ready for the summer water hunting.

It’s a floating water sifter you can make. It’s a life saver to dump your goodies from your scoop while in the water.
I also rest my scoop on it as I detect and drag it behind me by the mule tape.

One of the best investments I have ever made.

My hunting buddy Indian Steve gave me the makings of a sifter, and I began using it at the end of the water season here last year. That sifter makes target retrieval much easier!
