After checking out several other ideas on Youtube,decided to roll my own.Ended up with a Tru Pro by Trooper Flat shovel from Rural King,around $20.It is VERY THICK! Cut 2" off of length & 1" off each side.Added the root notches with grinding wheel,free handed,looking at pic of one. 0630191200.jpg

I really like this design. Bought a new sharpshooter this week and been thinking about modifying the shovel blade. This will do!

very nice. This is my diy tool. used a angle grinder to cut down a 5’ shovel and added some larger foot pads. I also shortened the shovel by 14” and added a handle off an old snow shovel.
