Somehow I’ve lost my digging tool of 10+ years. It was a trenching (clean out) shovel that I had modified and it was great, but now it’s somewhere between Dallas and Vernon, TX. I noticed that it wasn’t in my truck when I went to my East Texas place last weekend. Out there, most items I find are 6-8” deep, the ground is hard, and roots are everywhere.

A gent I hunt with suggested this critter... He also hunts in ETX and sent me a couple of videos of it in use. We shall see come Saturday morning.

Anyone else have experience with this one?

I've used a WW-2 entrenching shovel for the past 30 years , but as I age I'm thinking on getting one like that to limit my bending and use as a walking aid as well . I could see that tool being helpful when jumping creeks and beating down briers.
