You are asking about the laws about "Washington state " , then are we to deduce that it is a state -owned school ? (like maybe a state college , etc...) Or is it a city level school? If it's a city (or county) , then "state law" would have nothing to do with it. It would have to do with local ordinances.

and to answer that question : Rarely ever, in any city, is there ever anything about md'ing . Ie.: 99% of the time; it's simply silent on the issue. If you're still skittish though , you can check on your city's website (nearly every city has a website nowadays :)) & see. There will usually be a tab for muni codes , etc ... If you see nothing there about md'ing , well then there's your answer that there must not be any. prohibitions . Presto :)

I would just detect it unless told to leave then check the rules and regulations. By asking permission, a lot of the times people will just tell you it's not allowed even if they don't know for sure.
