    Meteorite Identification

There is a problem with the legality of Meteorite ownership.. Basically, do not tell anyone where you found YOUR rock..However at least half the value is in knowing the location of where the meteorite came from..Buyer want to know all that information.. Found in National Forest or on Public Domain land, the stone belongs to the Goverment (in all countries!) How or why the Smithsonian gets in the play is anyones mystery..Solution? Be aware and study your subject/occupation/field of interest..I am a pro meteorite hunter. In the field all the time..
