.... Eastern National Forests composed mostly of private lands. ...

Then .... seeing as how those lands got that denotation (versus, simply ... being "private property" with no such designation): Is the public allowed to cross/hike over them ?

Only if the landowners allow it. It's private property.


Ok. Understood . thanx. I suppose these private -type sections of NFS are mark (fenced? posted?) so that a person knows when/if they've crossed from *regular* nfs to this private type nfs. Eh ?
