our local car wash has about twenty coin operated vacuums to clean out your car. when they get full they empty them in a pile behind the car wash. we used to go sift the pile in a few minutes we had five bucks in quarters alone. we didnt bother with the other coins. but now that i have a detector i think ill go check out that pile.also we used to find many pot plants growing there. if any one checks out there local car wash pile let me know how you make out. kiddrock33

Got a couple of carwashes here. They dump the vacs in the dumpsters, but I usually hit the drain channel for the place, and the gravel borders along the fence (both sides), on the way back from a couple of parks. I'm amazed at what gets dropped along the walls, think it comes from the floor mats. My best is $16.72 clad. A handfull of junk kids rings and 8 or 9 gold hoop earrings, numerous toy cars, 3 pot pipes, and more ink pens than a stationary store.
