    Renewed Today: Researcher needed

My Partner, "Doc", & I would like to have a "Researcher" gather up some facts about "Treasure Legends" !

We Are going to be heading out into the field, NM., AZ., NV., CA., CO., Utah, etc. in a couple of weeks!
    AROUND March '08
We fully intend this trip will be atleast
    10+ months long !
While in the "field", We will communicate by LapTop to cell phone to Internet
We will then, follow these leads up, on the ground/4x4'ing, taking lots of photos along the way!
    To wherever they lead!
We'll be writting up the story w/photos for sale ? to several of The Treasure Magazines!
They normally pay a few hundred dollars a story..
Which "We" will split with the "Researcher"
    PLUS!
Along with a share of any "Finds" !
    So!
If you want to become involved and maybe BECOME RICH !!
    Here's a good chance!

Hey , Semper Fi,capt.,if i can help i will. Just let me know. no problem,i will do what i can on the fly,or as my time permits. By the way,not to stray off the subject, but i noticed some persons who never experienced military service, have chided you a bit, about yours. What they dont know is that like you I to have post tramatic stress, and its best to talk about your expereices and get it out, rather than hold it in. Did you know that you can recieve up to $1800.00 a month for this condition from the V.A. Not bad for combat fatigue. It really dogs me all the time, and i dont get much sleep, and my Colt 45,is never far away at night.
That said beat the odds and go find more treasure,.......................................tr apperjon

    TrapperJon:
    Glad to have your input!
If you're serious, send me a little personal data!
I will be needing some detailed and concise information on the stories that I'll send you for "Research".
Remember, that I have a lot of info, general and detailed, on these myself.
I have several thousand older Treasure Magazines myself, many of them are, Vol #1, Issue #1 & foreward
What I am looking for, along with YOUR general info, is that little obscure bit that has been over looked!

Still need a researcher? I'm available 24/7. Internet and email savvy. Lots of general knowledge and am very adventurous. Two colleges nearby and am in good standing with a local historian.

Contact me at quasifun@yahoo.com if interested.

I have tons of general, easy to find information on about all of the sites!
What I need is that few and little known information.

Do you have access to historical information on the Southwestern U.S.?
My sites are all in the SW'ern US!
Primarily, NM, Az, So.Ca, Utah, Nv., etc. ?

    Re: Researcher needed

    HH Dave:
I have been "toying" with an idea along that/those same idea(s) !
    Or!
    Something similar !
I would, get leads/clues to various treasure/caches, etc.
    Pick a well, researched story/legend,
    And!
Starting from the "start point", mentioned in the "research/lead".
    Photographing, as, I went.
I would followed the route/leads that were mentioned ...even to using a "webcam" to show the countryside around, where I would be camped, etc .
I, already have/use, a "laptop" computer to internet connection, when I am in camp !

The trip/story could be Written up, as a "Treasure Story" being investigated!
    OR!

    Atleast,
Giving to Folks back home (on the "Net!) a feeling, for what's it's like being out there
    a " Day by Day " actual/factual report! (of the trip's progress)
    AND!
Hope fully find something in the "process" !

I'll tell ya if I didn't have three kids and a wife Id be right there with ya, as for now just a weekend warrior.
It would be a great story for the trea mags. well documented, might get you more publicity than you want.

    Re: Researcher needed

How experienced are you in extensive research?
Did a bunch of research for stuff in college, minor stuff mostly. Pretty good at keeping organized notes. Would be easy for others to follow up on if need be. I make notes on minor things that may be clues. Found John Whites place in Atoka (popular story) by folowing addresses on the census report, recreating the route and using a township database.

I have tons of general, easy to find information on about all of the sites!
What I need is that few and little known information.

Before my divorce, I had a good collection of stories, both published and personal. Followed up on many. May have actually found an old military camp that is beleived to be underwater.

Do you have access to historical information on the Southwestern U.S.?
My sites are all in the SW'ern US!
Primarily, NM, Az, So.Ca, Utah, Nv., etc. ?
Do to divorce all my books ect. have vanished, but still have good knowledge of the area.

Also know a parapalegic who's only hobby is interneting. She got some good info for me on Christapher Colombus.

    Hi Dave:
    You may be right!
    AND!
That Yellow Jeep is pretty hard to hide going down the road!
That's one of the reasons that I have "Prospectin" written on the rear window!'
    That doesn't excite people like
    "Treasure Hunting" would! :P

    Re: Researcher needed

Here's another way that we could work this!
    You!
"The researcher" could come up with the information and Me 'n Bugs, would head out to run it down!
When and IF! the info starts to prove out and it gets to the "Point" where a recovery is Pretty Darn Likely, :P
I would call you up or "Internet You" (aka email) and you could arrange time to make it to where ever I happened to have camp setup!
This way, you'll be there when your "research " pays off !
    AND!
Go home with your share in your pocket(s)!
    OR!
    Huge! Truck load!

    Well!
If you can dig up a little spare time this year, after I get out,
You can always join "Bugs" and I for a week or so!
You aren't going to find what you don't look for!
Of Course, sometimes it's just impossible to get away!
Lucky, Hanna, my Wife, is real understanding, has her own business and once remarked!
"You know, Cptbil & Bugs! Things seem to go much smoother around the place, when you guys are out west, doing your thing!"
    Think she's telling "Us!" something!
    I Love Going Out!
But! Man! It sure is nice to get back home & git spoiled!

Geeze cptbill, I hope your not writing stories for the mags on Ut.
It's tough enough to get to the field to varify leads around here sence the bomb got droped on us by some idget out Delta way.
All we need is another story out here. Damb feds are all over the west desert areas as it is.....
Not to mention every yahoo that owns a atv LOL...

    SAY!
    Light Foot!
What's this about some "Idget" ?
    What did he do?
    And!
How come "The Feds" are all over the Place ?
AS you might know, I always go into the field Very (VERY!) "HEAVYILY ARMED"
I have run into those "Arrogant Types" several times before !
It makes them "Mad!" to find out that they are "outgunned" !
    REALLY DOES!
One SOB asked me if I knew how to use them!
I answered, "Does 30 months in Vietnam and 30 yrs, in the military COUNT! "
That went over like a "Lead ballon".
    But!
He must have gotten the point, 'cause he dropped his, "Holier than thou" attitute.. :P

Cptbill the idget I'm talking about is that kid that found the gold bars west of delta,UT. Then opened his mouth to BLM for a reward LOL. From what I understand he still has not told were he found it other than somewhere west of Delta. Needless to say it is hard to get any research done in that area with out being bird dogged.
It was 2-3 years ago and the area is still hot. I think the gold was estimated around 300 mill.
