this photo probably best to ID site against current photo above...this one from around 1950s and shows clearly the site below base of the large hill behind it

I've held onto this a couple of years, but too far away for me to ever really go...you will probably have to ask a few property owners' permission, but looks like there could easily be original areas of land around where the hotel was from 1880s until 1960s.
