The last post for sites in Minnesota was in 2005 as far as I can tell. Just wondering if anything has changed since then. I live in Mankato and would like to search with anyone in the area that has more of a clue where to go than I do. Or does anyone know of places of interest - old schools, churches, etc. I am having a heck of a time finding anywhere decent to hunt. I'm tired of competing with the kids on the jungle gym for space. All I seem to find are pennies. Go figure.

Thanks,

Daryl

Hi Daryl,

I'm not from that area, but I did find a listing for two drive-in movie theaters that used to be open down there.
1. Mankato Twin Star Drive-In. The only address listed is "located off of 3rd st" and there is something else about 600 Summit Ave but I'm not sure how accurate that one is.
2.Kato Star. Located on the south side of Hwy 14 east of Mankato.
I know neither of these are going to have the old coins that we love to find, but if the lots are still open and you can get permission to hunt them then it's probably better then dealing with the kiddies on the jungle gyms!

Thanks for the info. Anything is better than kids on a Jungle Gym.
