Here is a lead for gold. Not long before I moved back to AZ. I wondered over to Fort Mill S.C. (lived in S.C. at the time. I intended to do some panning on Sugar Creek which has in the past produced some gold. I was on the main Hwy , runs from Lancaster to Charlotte. A few miles out of Fort mill north is a power station on the left. I turned down that where the road ended, (bl0cked) and hiked towards the creek The is a clear cut for power lines running west in the direction of Sugar Creek. About 1/8th of a mile from the power station in that direction is a small creek running N.&S. I tried it just for the heck of it and found small bits of gold. i thought afterward, a small dredge would probably be productive. I had dredged a number of thimes in the past in the Catawba river and found small amounts. ood luck.

I live just south of that spot. It's too hot to metal detect right now. I may just pull out the old pan and sluice. Thanks for the heads up.
