Holy Land Gold???

Actually, I'm not sure if the location is Palestine or not, but does anyone know the story of the temple treasure? I read something years ago, but can't remember. I'm not sure if this is the same as the "Templar" treasures supposedly found under the temple mount.

Here you have an extract from the chapter about the lost treasure of Templar Knights from my book "Lost and Hidden Treasures in the Dominican Republic". I hope it will answer some of your questions....


……When Philip IV of France ordered the arrest of the Templar knights on October 13th, 1307, the Templar fleet, or at least their major part, was anchored in the French harbor of La Rochelle, but they were warned of what was going to happen at least 24 hours in advance. Who, when and how told them this top secret information will probably never be known, but that’s not important at this moment. What matters is the fact that through the whole night of October 13th caravans full of jewelry, silver, gold coins, sacred artifacts, antique books and documents were arriving to La Rochelle and all these treasures were loaded in a hurry on board of Templar ships. There are even some written testimonies about what happened that night. For example, Jean de Chalons wrote in his chronicle:

“….. During the night before the attack against the Templar knights, on the 12th of October, I myself saw three horse wagons loaded fully with treasures. These wagons arrived to La Rochelle from Temple of Paris just before the midnight. I also saw lord Gerard de Villiers and Hugo de Chalons who were leading a group of 50 cavalry men as a protection. There were crates with the treasure of Hugo de Pairaud hidden inside the wagons. They took the road towards the shore and there everything that was on the wagons was loaded on the board of eighteen ships of the Order…”

When sun came out next morning, there was no trace of the eighteen ships of Templar fleet from La Rochelle. The disappearance of these ships has been converted into one of the biggest mysteries of the history. Where did they sail? Did they sail together or did they take different routes? What was their final destiny? It was only one or several ports of destination for this mysterious treasure fleet? Well-known historians such as Beigent and Leigh are of the opinion that all the ships of Templar fleet escaped together. Beigent thinks in his book “Holy Grail across the Atlantic” that the ships sailed across the ocean and reached probably the Caribbean islands or the coast of Mexico. The Maya culture is full of strange sculptures and stone monuments that represent men with beards and with evidently European features. Because there is no evidence so far that there would be some native bearded men among Mayas, it is highly probable that sculptors had for their work some real models in front of them.

There is also written documentation about the experience of the transatlantic voyage of Prince Henry, who sailed across the ocean with some Templar knights in 1398. This expedition was organized by the St. Sinclaire family, for long time supporters of the Order. It is also said that part of the Templar treasure is buried in their family chapel in Rosslyn. Sinclairs were members of the Order of the Temple since the first Crusade. So, almost 100 years before Columbus, Henry sailed off with 12 ships and some Templar knights that took refuge in Scotland after the dissolution of the Order; there were also about 200 soldiers, too. The reason for these soldiers on board of this supposed discovery expedition is unclear till today. Also the purpose of this trip is not known.

There are literally dozens of books about the famous treasure in Oak Island close to the Canadian shore. Hundreds of adventurers, mining and construction companies, huge and small expeditions came to this small island trying to get hands of the treasure that is still hidden over sixty meters below the surface of the so called Money Pit.

The people who constructed this deep vertical shaft were masters of the masters in construction science. A parchment with coded message saying that 40 meters down there is a treasure valued in two million pounds was discovered in 20 meters of depth in the shaft. Every couple of meters there is a horizontal barrier in the pit. A piece of gold was found in 30 meters then and piece of construction wood as well. After that, only water from the ocean penetrating the shaft through many horizontal tunnels. Somebody did a master work there which impeded treasure hunters to go further. Everything was made on purpose there. There is a complete system of horizontal tunnels from the ocean in the shaft, too.

Treasure hunting expeditions tried almost everything – to construct a coffer dam, to dig an enormous hole, to construct lateral shafts, to change direction of flooded tunnels, to dry the whole bay, and so on, but nothing has worked in the practice so far. Several explorers lost heir lives in the pit and couple of companies went bankrupt because of this adventure. One expedition leaves the island while other comes there to try luck and time has been passing. Nobody knows who the the mysterious architect of the Money Pit was but most of the people are convinced that only Templar stone masters were able to do such a work.....
