Centralia, PA ?????

Has anybody ever searched this town since all the buildings & homes were torn down ? I ran across this doing some research. Seems like most of the areas had older homes and churches. A lot of the area is just sidewalks left. Only 20 families still reside in this town
Some of the pictures still show some areas that are still burning from the mine fires, while other pictures show areas where homes & businesses were demolished and all that lays is some green grass. Looking for thoughts ?

I got lucky.?

? The TOWNSHIP POLICE were there writing up 4 wheelers for tresspassing.

When he was done, I asked IF detecting was allowed & he said

? "GO FOR IT"?

? ? No Permission needed except where houses still stand, NATURALLY.
