If you don't have google earth ,get it

I have been going through my old treasure mags and have been searching on google earth. I think this is probably one if not the most important tools you should be implementing. I have an old map of texas and it shows a silver mine. I have narrowed my search but the resolution is not quite there. I have also maps of UP michigan with mine sites and I ahve checked these out you can actually make out the tailings piles. Hope this helps any that are new or those that have been cooped up for the winter.

I gotta say I used google earth for a while, then after using bing maps and their bird's eye view I like it a lot better. either way, those are great research tools, HH

Geocommunicator website Is like google earth but has topo and contour maps. It also has square mile plat grids that you can also turn off. It's a very usefull site.

Wolverine,
Does that make military scale maps?

I am hitting all the lumber sites this summer in my area and was looking earlier for better tools.
