Just had a thought and thought that I would throw it out there and see what happens. Why couldn't some of these carvings have been done by a child? Think about it. If the child was made to watch the mother or father work who is to say that the parents didn't sit the child down on a flat rock to watch. If the kid got bored maybe he started pecking away at the rock and now we see it and assume that it has a greater meaning. Our kids doodle. Maybe Indian kids did also.
