I live a bit farther south-east of most of you in Greene County, New York. There is supposedly a very large revolutionary war era cache buried somewhere here on the top of Palenville mountain. I have researched this and found very little mention over the past few years of my research, but I do have through local lore a general location. I would really like to find this one, and could use some help...

Just ran across your post from October. Can't get out as much as I like since we are caring for my 87 year old mom.
But I am in Cairo. Lots of places, lots of stories, in our area. Cairo and the surrounds were occupied by gangsters in the 20's, moonshiners, and all sorts of neer-do-wells. My Dad even found a Civil war sword belt plate in the yard with his metal detector, might have been brought up by a freed slave, as I said, lots of stories.
