Carr farm and Rockwell's butternuts...
I am an active hunter in the Mohawk valley. Since it's not really time for swinging the coil I am focusing on research. I am delving into two local treasure stories; the Carr farm and John Rockwell's glorious find, both from the early 1900's.
A Google search will tell you the basics. I am looking for a hunting buddy who wants to work together on the research and then the actual hunts come spring. Rather than recount the stories here I would prefer to discuss them in person once an interested party steps forward.
If you are in the area of CNY and wish to join forces with me let me know... 2 heads (and detectors when the time comes) are better than one!!!
