Isn't that Bayless safe mentioned in the article the one that people are still looking for to this day?

....or is a different one?

not sure. I do know the treasure tales say several safes were never recovered.
however never was a long time already

I am fairly certain it was the Bayless safe that inspired a number of different stories about its fate.

This is the first I have ever read of the Bayless safe being found unscathed.
Interesting article ......I have been trying to remember where I read about the Bayless safe all day.

I think it was a book about PA treasure legends.I can picture the front cover but cant recall the title.
