Yeah, I'm from that area originally, and know that history very well. It was Swift Run Gap (SNP) above Elkton, Va. in the Great Valley of Virginia. They traveled down today's "OLD" Rt. 33, into Elkton of today, stopping at the Shenandoah River (Bridge TODAY) on "Old" Rt. 33. Across the River (Shenandoah), they drank with MANY "Toasts" to the King, burying that bottle with a "proclamation" for the King, etc. (NEVER found). The Knights of the Golden Horseshoe had the pins made in Williamsburg, I think; NEVER seen one... "Google" Swift Run Gap & the Knights of the Golden Horseshoe...
