I don't Know If Treasure Hunting is Still allowed or not.

And IF Metal Detecting is allowed at all.

I'v never Been, But it's Listed in

LOST TREASURE OF NORTHEASTERN UNITED STATES
By:
Francis X Scully

Age of Book I don't know either. HOWEVER it was Printed by : MALONE PRINTING
3 Cherry Alley
St. Marys , PA. 15857

IF STILL IN BUISNESS.

When he Wrote it, He said

"TREASURE HUNTERS are welcome as long as they pay the admission".

In his Story he mentions,A lost Lead mine, a stolen a CACHE of Gold Coins from a Bank Robbery, & Counterfeit Money consisting of Thousands of Dollars of Bogus Coins. (The Dies & Spurious Coins have been fund)
