Adironack Mountains NY state

anyone have any info on adirondack mountains in upstate NY this is syracuse lake george herkimer little falls areas. not like an hour outside NYC. Im very interested in any leads for bottles cashes ect. im a newbie and would love so locations to hunt. im interested in anything and i do have a metal detector. Plenty of old/new camp areas up there. Bible, boy scout etc. Look for the old outhouse sites and dig carefully!

any ideas of where to get ahold of maps for these areas? why dig carefully near the out houses..... little slippery? LOL

It's all good digging there in a relatively short time after use. Ya just don't want to hit a bottle hard, and there will be bottles.
You may ask around at Ranger station if its a park. Might be a local history book at the Library, tax records, or maybe checking individual clubs.
