Has anyone heard of any treasure legends around Mississippi? Thank you so much!

I have an idea, but it it research intensive. Get a good map of the Naches Trace, with Name of Counties on the map and road names adjecent to and braching in and out of the Trace across Miss.
The do a systemic search of Public County tax records for Private Owners of land around those roads on or along the Trace, to find those Private owners. You can not run a MD on the Nation Land area along the Trace, so Look for private owners. Contact those owners listed for permissions to hunt and then head out and hunt them. Focus on areas where en-campments where, you will probly hit some real interesting relics.
You never know! Some always say no, but many say yes also, if you present yourself well to them. Anyway, just an idea. Best wishes in your hunts
