I Hope everybody had, and is still having a good day. 8-)
A Merry Day, though all may not seem to be well, it is...

Thanks, Yes, A Good Toast to Uncle, and to You All.
All I have is Black Spirits (well actually dark amber),
but very smooth, out of an exceptional oak barrel,
Royal Canadian Made, and chilled V8, low salt.

Good filtered spring water. It's ok, a toast
anyway, sipped the one double, that is
all I'll have. Thanks to you treasured
people for the kind words,
they help... :fish:
:cross:

Went to see Uncle, he was in so much pain,
I had to leave after about an hour, it hurts
too much, just to watch. I say a silent...
and whisper another few words.

Don Jose,

The VA has kept him alive, tending to all of his needs,
including cardio, etc., but for recent years, there has
been a bladder issue left go, that seems to have
become impossible to improve, don't know...

My retired (his grandson) special ops Marine cousin said
he talked to a Dr. who said something will be done,
don't know. It's just really tough to talk about.

Sometimes they tell people they're worn out.
Not sayin I know different, they just stop treating them
as much. Uncle says they have always been real good to him.
Sometimes sick people don't complain much, then eventually go.

I admit I honestly don't know very much. An observer of the big picture.
The artist is boss. The clues not always easy to see, shrouded in mystery.
Some live a long life, then many go with their boots on... :fish:

Just passing thru on this spirited treasure trail. Being stuck here seems absurd,
with death the only way out, of moving on, where all have gone. Their treasures
left behind, their words frozen. Their acts recorded, some in stone. The unforeseen
landing, invisible to naked eyes, with only old clues to go by, being all important...

The Treasures Of True Spirits

Thanks for the wishes and kindness everyone.
Very much, and sincerely truly appreciated...

I listened to all of the music selections again,
and they are all good, especially to all us 'ole
romantic's'. 8-) The time and dates do become
less relevant, but kindness sensed, lives on.

Like immortal treasured spirits,
thoughts that share good... :fish:

Happy New Year Wishes To Everyone, best.
Of all, may yours be successful, happy too.
In your pursuit of the true treasures, rest.
May it kindly be well shared with you. :hello:

Uncle is at home resting comfortably, and warning
of his soon departure :laughing7:, or threatening ???

He was so happy to get to go home, and naturally,
went right back to smoking his cigarettes. We all
know his time is most likely pretty short, and
tell him we'll miss him, all that sentimental
stuff, he has been through the mill, and
it's a wonder he lived past 16, when he
and grandpa were loggin in Arkansas.

They had the truck loaded with logs,
and Uncle, walking the bank above
the road, slipped and slid down
under the truck, to be ran over
by the back wheels. Grandpa
didn't see it happen, and of
course hauled Uncle to the
nearest hospital...

He had a broken pelvis, crushed
vertebrae's, a twisted spine, etc.
Was put in a full body cast for a long
time, and couldn't work for about a
year, he spent slowly recovering.

So with all of the other things he's
lived through, I am lucky to have
ever even known him, and am
much richer in good memories,
treasure tales, and experiences
for it. I will always be glad, as
he lost friends and one cousin
also in Korea, spending over
3 yrs. 5 mos., he said,
there with no bed...

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year! :occasion14:

I am the queen of scrap! Found more than I'd ever dreamed possible. Who needs a nail? We could build a palace!

Ha! Ha! Did people a long time ago, really burn their houses down,
when they got ready to move, to retrieve the rare and valuable nails?
In that case, no one homesteaded where there's no nails, or charcoal? :laughing7:

Just an old hog pen shelter ruins, with the roof collapsed, down in the
flatlands. But a couple Indian rocks, let me see those walking long ago.
Steep ravines for hunting, at least maybe for some civilized men,
or I mean modern, keeping an eye on their phones, riding their
noisy push button four wheel iron horses, he he... :fish:

DO TREASURES HAVE REAL SPIRITS?

;) Actually, most of my nails are hand-forged, collected from the 100 yr old church I lived in. All kinds of scrap iron and metal pieces galore. But, ad man, it just found a home. Sorry.

Disposal -- hint, treasures --

That would be something, to find what needs to be scrapped on a big scale.:dontknow:
Would that be because it's in the rough, ferrous, non ferrous, or low grade ores? 8-)
Or even better, to just use a hunk for a door stop, or paper weight. :laughing7:

An old friend of mine had a big Indian rock propping his storm door open.
Never noticed anything shiny like, or metallic looking in it though, reminds
me about the big 23 or so lb. nugget in N. Carolina was it, the farmer used
for his door stop, until someone bought it real cheap. Then when word got
around, of what it was sold for, had to give him more money. Reckon
anyone would do something like that today? ... :fish:

HA! I use 5 lb. cannon-ball I found on CW battlefield in Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, as a door-stop. Used for Shot-Put practice in High School; made ppl around me VERY nervous... LOL!
