For the last few weeks I've been really fascinated by the Roy Gardner story and the possibility that he buried some of his loot at the top of a volcano near Flagstaff AZ. I've been finding plenty of articles etc. about his many escapes from prison and his prison escorts but not a whole lot about his train robberies and his possible loot.

Does anyone know about this story and some of the better resources for it?

Around 28 craters. A few are volcanic. Many are in a park.... Making recovery a problem.Perhaps.
Then there are meteorite type. National landmark status will prevent activity...

Thin gravy as to where Gardner moved around in the area.
