His site looks like it might be a good place from which to start from..
But!
He's not going back in far enough!
Or!
Around to the remote areas that I am interested in!
IE:
There's a place that I go to,
in New Mexico that takes a full 4-5 hours of 4x4 travel just to get to!
Then a few more hours to set up camp!
So! You can see that it's NO! Day or Weekend Trip!

Well at least its worth the Email to him unless you don't want to tip your cards so to speak. It also seems like he hikes in and that there is no way to 4x4 in to some of these sites or maybe it is considered wilderness area and you are not allowed to 4x4 in. Have you gotten the TOPO of the area and checked the BLM . I think Sasquash is out there somewhere too. You might want to drop him a line. I have never been to Death Valley. I have traveled the coast of California ,Oregon And Washington but never that far inland. Hike the pacific crest trail in Washington Sate. Nice up there and you are definitely walking.Let me know what you find out. I haven't heard of the Mystery of Panamint Give me a clue so I can do some research.
