I have a cabin very near the Bad River south of Mellen and have some ideas for exploring near the Penokee Gap. This is also where the Northern Belle Mine is located where there were verifiable gold and silver mined.

Actually, just go upriver about 2-3 miles from here and you'll be close to where the Northern Belle mine was. 5 miles upriver from here is where I own land on both sides of the river. Releventchair & Rebel, are you from Wisconsin? You guys should meet me at the Cayuga Hotel & Saloon south of Mellen and we'll go explore the site of the N.B. Mine.

Mi. for me, and Va.? for Reb.. That old bedrock country in them mining areas grows some big deer on occasion. Heck of a winter though.
